About the Exhibition

Rojo Y Negro – Latin American Art

A wide-angle survey of Latin American modern and contemporary practice, built around long-term loans from private collections in São Paulo and Monterrey, plus an installation of new mural paintings commissioned for the gallery’s exterior south wall.

Five thematic rooms move from the muralism of the 1920s through the neo-concrete movement, tropicalismo, and the politicised abstraction of the 1970s into a final gallery of living artists born after 1985.
